San Jose Lauryn Kelly, LE, is a medical aesthetician at Illuminate Skin San Jose and a certified Hydrafacial MD and Dermaplaning expert. At Illuminate, she creates custom facial treatments including HydraFacials, chemical peels, and skincare regimens, with a specialty for treating acne using results-driven solutions.
Lauryn’s career in aesthetics began in 2016, where she worked as the director of multiple aestheticians at a luxury spa, trained on product knowledge and skin treatment recommendations, and assisted providers with guiding their patients’ skincare journeys.
After struggling with hormonal cystic acne, the transformation of her own skin ignited Lauryn to help others achieve their best skin. After personal success, Lauryn was inspired to go to aesthetic school where she graduated top of class from the Salon Professional Academy. There, she built a deeper understanding of advanced techniques in the latest medical-grade aesthetic treatments, microdermabrasion, corrective chemical peels, anti-aging facials, and customizable at-home medical skincare routines.
Her biggest strength as an aesthetician is that she does not see this as a job, but as a personal passion. Her goal is to help her patients reach a place of confidence to show off their skin and to feel proud to talk with others about their own skin journeys.
Lauryn’s patients describe her as an exceptional listener, and see her as a trusted partner with their skin transformation. She is great with first-timers and takes her time to explain the “why” behind recommendations and to get to know their skin, in order to curate effective treatment plans that are tailored to fit their needs.
Outside of skin treatments, Lauryn enjoys being with friends and family and has a passion for wellness, staying active outdoors, eating healthy and digital design.
