The Vivace uses thirty-six insulated, gold-tipped needles attached to a robotic motor that produces a fast and even insertion into the skin. With each insertion, microneedle electrodes deliver bipolar radiofrequency energy deep into the dermis to facilitate the natural wound healing process and tighten the skin. In time, these tiny injuries will stimulate the production of collagen to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone and texture and soften acne scars.
Vivace is a skin rejuvenation treatment that combines microneedling and radiofrequency (RF) energy to stimulate collagen production. Physical injury caused by the needles and thermal damage caused by radiofrequency elicits a cell signaling process that stimulates your body to produce collagen. This minimally invasive, nearly no-downtime treatment will help make your skin firmer, tighter and smoother. Patients also express improvement in fine lines, acne scarring, pore size, tone, and texture.
An average San Jose or Palo Alto Vivace treatment takes roughly 30 minutes to perform. On the day of your treatment, your provider will apply a topical anesthetic (numbing cream) which takes about 30-45 minutes to become fully effective. Once your skin is numb, your provider will begin treatment. Vivace uses a robotic micro-motor to gently push needles into the skin. Once inside, these insulated needles emit heat from their tips and into the dermis. Patients express feeling pressure and some heat at this time, but this is tolerated quite well. Many patients choose to enhance their Vivace results by adding growth factors to their skin following their treatment. When applied after a Vivace treatment, growth factors penetrate into the microchannels that have been created by the needling. This serum is rich with growth factors that promote healing to optimize your results.
Immediately following treatment, your skin may appear mildly pink or flushed. This redness should only last for an hour or two. For the next six hours, the microchannels that were created will be most receptive to the serums and recovery products that we provide. We recommend that patients avoid prolonged sun exposure, touching their face, makeup and exercise during this time. Once this period has elapsed, patients are free to resume their normal daily activities.
You will find that Vivace treats all the conditions that can be addressed with traditional microneedling but better – with a faster recovery time and amazing results. This can include the fine lines and wrinkles caused by smoking or aging, acne scars, bags under the eyes, loose skin, stretch marks and more. This treatment is a great option for those who have not had success with creams or facials but are not ready for a surgical procedure.
