WHAT IS DERMAPLANING?
Dermaplaning immediately rejuvenates the skin by removing the outermost layer of dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz). It is also highly effective in minimizing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars, while leaving skin smooth, supple, and vibrant. It is great for prepping the skin prior to peels, enzyme treatments and to increase penetration of active ingredients in treatment room and home care products. It creates the perfect canvas for makeup application and is the go-to treatment to prepare for high profile occasions.
Dermaplaning is a physical/mechanical exfoliation that is extremely safe when performed by a professionally trained skin care specialist utilizing the appropriate tools for the service. Clients love this treatment and will return monthly to have it done.
Dermaplaning has been practiced by dermatologists and plastic surgeons for over 40 years. Dermaplaning was originally performed as an alternative to, or a prep for chemical exfoliation. It was later used to prepare the skin for resurfacing treatments and deeper chemical peels.
- CLEANSE – Double cleanse with gel based cleanser.
- PREP – Prep the skin using an AHA/BHA Skin Prep Solution. This removes cleanser and makeup residue. The Salicylic and Lactic acids in the prep solution will penetrate to begin the exfoliation process. Apply dermaplaning oil to support the skin with calming, soothing and firming properties while locking in essential hydration.
- DERMAPLANE – The technique we use is designed to achieve optimal results.
