Many men are unsatisfied with the size of their penis. This may lead to decreased self-esteem, feelings of embarrassment with a partner, at the pool or gym, and a lackluster sex life.
According to RealSelf, interest in penis enlargement has increased 120% compared to 2017. And while, increasing penis size used to require undergoing a risky surgical procedure, this isn’t the case anymore. Male enhancement procedures can be performed in the office, under local anesthetic using the same hyaluronic acid fillers that we use for the face.
How does it work?
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar substance that occurs naturally in the body, particularly the skin. The substance works as a magnet for moisture, helping your cells retain as much as possible so that your skin appears hydrated, plump and healthy. In addition to treating fine lines and folds, injectable hyaluronic acid can also be used to create structure and add volume.
During male enhancement procedures, a highly structural hyaluronic acid product called Juvederm Voluma is injected below the skin. It is the thickest, longest-lasting HA filler on the market. Following injection, Juvederm Voluma will bind with water and naturally occurring hyaluronic acid in your body to instantly increase your size and confidence.
What should I expect with treatment?
While the goal of the procedure is to increase girth, the added weight from the filler will often lengthen the penis as well. First, the penis is anesthetized with injectable numbing medicine. Then, anywhere from six to ten syringes of Voluma are fanned along the shaft of the penis at a time. Bruising and soreness can occur immediately after treatment and the majority of men will take Tylenol for the first few days. Men are thrilled to see a change in their penis immediately after treatment, but are even happier to learn that the results will continue to get better over the next two weeks. At around a year, the product is naturally broken down by your body.
At Illuminate Plastic Surgery, our practitioners are trained to perform this procedure both safely and without discomfort. Consultations and treatment are personal and confidential. For more information, email your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
