WHAT ARE INTRAVENOUS NAD+ INFUSIONS?
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme found in all living cells. The function of NAD+ is nothing short of miraculous. It repairs DNA, protects brain cells and serves as an internal anti-inflammatory mediator. As we age, our NAD+ levels decline. These levels further decline in response to depression, stress, and illness. Put simply, intravenous NAD+ infusions promote whole-body wellness.
NAD+ therapy promotes health for the entire body. It is suitable for anyone who is looking to perform more optimally, not just those suffering from a medical condition. NAD therapy provides neurologic, metabolic and anti-aging benefits for everyone.
Certain cases exist where NAD+ may not be the most recommended treatment. All patients consult with our board certified physicians or nurse practitioner prior to treatment.
Patients who experience NAD+ therapy will experience increased mental clarity, improved problem-solving abilities, more energy, improvement in mood, decreased anxiety, reduced cravings and more.
How long do the treatments take?
NAD+ IV infusions vary from patient to patient. Most patients can be in and out of the office within an hour and a half.
How often should NAD+ infusions be performed?
For optimal results, we recommend a series of five treatments over ten days. Even better, five treatments over five days.
Are NAD+ infusions uncomfortable?
NAD+ infusions excite mitochondria throughout your entire body. It is not unusual for patients to feel some nasal congestion, chest pressure or cramps during the treatment. They also may feel increased energy, muscle excitability, and reduced inflammation. We administer NAD+ slowly to minimize side effects. Your Illuminate Wellness provider may also recommend medications pre and post-treatment to ensure the process is as comfortable for you as possible.
