WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE PROCEDURE?
The PDO thread lift is a fast and safe procedure that only requires local anesthesia. When you come in for the treatment, Dr. B will numb the area where the threads are to be inserted, then use tiny needles called cannulas to insert the threads and lift the skin upwards. After the skin is lifted, he cuts off the excess thread. The entire procedure typically takes no more than 30 minutes. There may be some mild discomfort that comes with the lifting of the skin during the procedure.
HOW LONG IS RECOVERY TIME?
There is minimal recovery time when performing a PDO thread lift procedure, which again sets it markedly apart from surgical facelifts and even older thread lifts. Once the procedure is complete, you may experience minor swelling, redness and bruising around the treated area. The area may also feel tight and unusual with normal movement. Refrain from touching the face during this time. You should also avoid strenuous activity for about 48 hours, by which time most or all of the swelling and redness should be gone.
WHAT CONDITIONS WILL THE PROCEDURE TREAT?
A PDO thread lift can help you with nasolabial folds, naso jugal folds, crow’s feet, wrinkles around your mouth, fine lines, tired eyes, jowls, sagging neck skin and more. The changes may not be as dramatic as a facelift or other surgical procedures, but do produce a nice natural lift. During your consultation, the doctor can review all the ways that a PDO thread lift can improve the look of your facial skin and your overall appearance.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?
You should see results from your thread lift treatment immediately.* As the swelling goes down, the effect should be even more apparent. Even better, since the treatment stimulates collagen production, you can see even better results with respect to the elasticity and firmness of your skin as time goes on.* The threads stay in place for at least six months, and even once they are gone, their effects can remain for a year or more.*
HOW MUCH DOES A PDO THREAD LIFT COST?
Because there are different types of threads we can use and different approaches we can take depending upon the particular problem areas you want to target, the cost of a PDO thread lift treatment can vary. If you combine this treatment with other aesthetic procedures, as our patients commonly do, this can also affect the total cost. Many of our patients enjoy the convenience of paying for these procedures over time. We recommend CareCredit and Alphaeon for this purpose. Many of our patients will choose to apply for credit cards with longer terms at 0% interest.
