What Is High-Definition Liposuction?

If you like the idea of liposuction for dealing with stubborn fat, but are afraid that simply removing the fat through a traditional liposuction procedure will not give you the sculpted look you are after, you need to hear about high-definition liposuction, a new, advanced method of performing liposuction that is growing in popularity.

What Is High-Definition Liposuction?

High-definition liposuction, or hi-def lipo, is more accurately called VASER liposuction. VASER stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance, and it is a new way to perform liposuction that is gentler and more accurate than traditional liposuction.*

How Does High-Definition Lipo Work?

The principle of liposuction is that the doctor breaks up fatty deposits in the body and then uses a special tool called a cannula to safely vacuum those deposits out. Normally, the doctor uses either high water pressure or a laser to generate the heat necessary to break up these fat cells for removal. High-Definition, or VASER lipo uses ultrasonic sound waves instead.

Why Choose High-Definition Lipo?

If you only have a few pounds left to lose and are looking for a very sculpted appearance, you may prefer High-Definition Lipo. Ultrasound waves are a much gentler and more precise way to break up fat deposits, and VASER lipo as a result can leave you with great body sculpting results.* If you have 15 pounds or more to lose, and precise sculpting is not a priority, you may be better suited to traditional liposuction or another method of reducing or eliminating fat.
