Dr. Boudreault can perform this procedure on most areas of the body using local anesthesia or Pro-Nox (laughing gas), in our minor procedure room. Once the local anesthetic is applied, Dr. B will administer the cold plasma energy. Body treatments can take a little longer than face treatments, but depending upon the area, the procedure will usually be complete in an hour or less. Because the treatment is administered at our office with local anesthetic, most patients are fine to drive themselves to and from the procedure.
After receiving J-Plasma Renuvion Palo Alto & San Jose patients will normally be given a compression garment which should be worn for at least 72 hours. Healing occurs from the inside out after a Palo Alto or San Jose J-Plasma Renuvion body treatment. Immediately after the procedure you should expect to see mild swelling and bruising, not unlike a moderate sunburn. After a week or two, this should fade, leaving you with the great looking skin you have been seeking. You should be able to resume your normal activities in a day or so.
