What Is the Motus AX?
The Motus AX is a device that takes laser hair removal to the next level. It uses Alexandrite wavelength light, which has been clinically shown to be the most effective at removing hair. More importantly, the Motus AX works on all skin types, even darker skin types that previous Alexandrite lasers struggled to work on.
WHAT MAKES THE MOTUS AX A SAFER CHOICE FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
The Motus AX contains proprietary Moveo technology, a special handpiece that delivers low-energy pulses in slow, repetitive motions rather than intense bursts of heat. By gradually heating the area up, this delivery system minimizes damage to the skin around the follicles. The Moveo handpiece can also get extremely close to the skin’s surface. Unlike other lasers which lose a portion of their energy when it reflects off the skin, the Motus AX’s energy is entirely absorbed by the skin, making it effective enough to remove up to 90% of unwanted hair in as few as four treatments* (compared to eight to twelve with most laser hair removal treatment options).
It circumvents concerns about burns or hyperpigmentation with its proprietary Moveo technology, a special handpiece that delivers low-energy pulses in slow, repetitive motions (rather than intense bursts of heat) over small areas. By gradually heating the area up, this delivery system minimizes damage to the skin around the follicles.
HOW LONG IS RECOVERY TIME?
Because this is a precise, painless procedure that is non-invasive, there is no recovery time. You can have your hair removed and then continue your daily activities. There may be some brief redness and swelling around the treated area post-treatment, like a mild sunburn, but it should fade quickly.
WHAT DOES MOTUS AX TREAT?
The great thing about Motus AX is that we can treat almost anyone, anywhere on the skin. We can treat those with light skin, those with dark skin, and those in between. We can treat thick or thin hair. We can treat the face, arms, underarms, bikini line, legs, chest, and back. If you need laser hair removal, the Motus AX can almost certainly do the job.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS FROM LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
With each treatment, the improvement in your skin should become more and more noticeable. You should be aware that it may take several sessions for you to achieve the best possible results. To maximize your results, we recommend that you come in to see us for at least four treatments, four to eight weeks apart. No consultation is needed for this treatment, but we can discuss the right number of treatments you should opt for to achieve the results you are hoping for based on your specific skin issues.
HOW MUCH DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL COST?
The cost of your laser hair removal treatment can vary widely. It will depend on how many areas you have where you wish to receive treatment and how many treatments you and the doctor decide you will need for best results. If you find that it is easier for you to pay for your laser hair removal treatments over time, we will be happy to recommend some options. Our patients have had good experiences paying for their treatment using credit services like Alphaeon and CareCredit. Many of our patients will choose to apply for credit cards with longer terms at 0% interest.
